There seems to always be a buzz going around about the newest fitness trends and experiences going viral or being taken on in droves. We get tired of scrolling through the same health and fitness videos and truly look for something tai­lor-made, for the likes of a deeper connection in the fitness lifestyle. If you were totally looking for something and someone new in fitness, we’ve have found it.

One woman that is in a class of her own when it comes to the realm of fitness is, Faith-Based Train­er Rashan “HurdlesandHair” Guillory. She get’s her training name HurdlesandHair from her volu­minous hairstyles when she performs in her track events over hurdles. Rashan Guillory is a highly pertinent track and field athlete, specializing in the 100m hurdles and open 100 meter. She brings over 15 years of experience in Track & Field and is a Certified USATF Coach. She is also a director at Fast Play Athletics, overseeing Track & Field pro­grams within San Diego Unified School District. On top of being physically fit, she is spiritually sound as well. Currently studying to be a minister under the guidance of Senior Pastor Freddy Villar­real of Freedom Life Church in Hampton, Virginia; she combines the elements of faith and fitness in everything that she does.

“Faith in Christ has been apart of my life since I was a little girl,” says Hurdlesandhair. It would only make sense to combine faith and fitness to create a new experience in fit­ness that people really long for.”

As she workouts her clients she gives them en­couragement that can lift their spirits and make them really drive toward their fitness goals.

“With overcoming adversity in abuse, a broken family life, and depression; faith in Christ and fitness have always been the places I ran to heal”.

HurdlesandHair hosts group session with mix­es that ignite positivity through hype gospel trap music and other positive songs. Starting in prayer and ending in scripture and exhortation, Hurdle­sandHair says “People want to be healed physically and spir­itually, and have fun doing it. With such free atmo­sphere, you can’t help but have fun.”

Along with her physical training, she has a Faith and Fitness App where you can train with her virtually and chime in on a community form bible study. As an intellectual component to her train­ing style she has written the first book in her wellness book series called RAS Therapy: Book 1 Ratiocination. The RAS Therapy series covers wellness within the mind, body, and spirit and highlights her own trials she’s had along the way.

On top of these accolades, she is a record holder, a mother of 3 and a college graduate with 2 degrees. She is interested not only in her looks but with her energy. She has a heavy fol­lowing via Instagram and face­book in South America, Africa, Europe, Hawaii, as well as the United States, totaling fan base of over 25 countries. Where we “RUN LIFE and LOVE CHRIST” is the motto. Where evoking en­lightenment and transformation is the goal. Her scripture to live by is Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
