Join us at Mission Brewery in East Village on September 27, 2024, for the official launch party of the San Diego MORE THAN PINK Walk! This special event will run from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and offers a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow walk participants, sponsors, community partners, and volunteers while supporting a vital cause.
Attendees will hear inspiring stories from breast cancer survivors, including this year’s Honorary Survivor, Claudia Bitterlin. To commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Mission Brewery will unveil its limited-edition pink beer, ‘Do it for the Brewbies.’ Proceeds from this special brew will directly benefit Susan G. Komen, the world’s leading breast cancer organization.
Leia Brune, executive director of Susan G. Komen San Diego, expressed her enthusiasm for the event: “We are thrilled to connect with the San Diego community as we celebrate the launch of this year’s MORE THAN PINK Walk. We are so grateful for the businesses that support us, and we’re beyond excited to have Mission Brewery craft a beer that supports our cause. The MORE THAN PINK Walk is a pivotal moment to raise vital funds to make equitable care available to all. We hope you can join us for a night of celebration as we get ready for a walk that will truly make a difference.”
Don’t miss this chance to stand against breast cancer, enjoy the new pink brew, and gather with others who share the same commitment to the cause. Your participation will help Susan G. Komen San Diego raise essential funds, provide crucial services, and advance important research towards a future without breast cancer.
The San Diego MORE THAN PINK Walk will take place on Sunday, November 3, at Balboa Park, starting at 6:30 a.m.
