Summer is almost here and ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station is excited to announce the return of the highly anticipated ARTS DISTRICT Summer Music Series! This vibrant celebration of music will take place every fourth Sunday of the month from June to September. The NTC Foundation, in partnership with ZIA Productions, invites everyone to enjoy free, family-friendly outdoor musical performances on the North Promenade from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
In honor of World Design Capital’s first binational designation of Tijuana and San Diego, ARTS DISTRICT is celebrating “music sin fronteras” with performances from an array of talented bands:
– Tulengua | June 23: Discover their unique blend of languages and cultures in San Diego’s underground hip-hop scene.
– Sonido de la Frontera | July 28: Experience a fusion of Soundsystem culture, hip hop, and Latin American dance music.
– Nosotros | August 25: Enjoy nearly three decades of distinctive Latin grooves mixed with rock, jazz, and beyond.
– Frontera Bugalú | September 22: Relish the innovative “cumbias rebajadas” that capture the spirit of the border region.
