In a collaborative effort, Susan G. Komen partnered with a few local businesses to promote National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and their upcoming MORE THAN PINK Walk, scheduled for November 3. As the world’s leading breast cancer organization, Susan G. Komen is dedicated to saving lives by supporting individuals affected by breast cancer and funding groundbreaking research focused at preventing and curing the disease.
Throughout the event, local businesses rallied behind the cause, raising awareness about breast cancer statistics and the importance of early detection. With a woman in the U.S. dying from breast cancer every 12 minutes, and over 32,660 women in California expected to be diagnosed in 2024, the urgency of the mission has never been clearer. Experts estimate that one-third of breast cancer deaths in the U.S. could potentially be prevented through modern treatments and improved access to care.
Susan G. Komen provides a comprehensive range of services, including patient navigation, financial assistance, and emotional support for those facing a breast cancer diagnosis. Their commitment extends to funding essential research initiatives that strive toward a future without breast cancer.
Funds raised during the event will directly contribute to breast cancer research, care services, and the pursuit of equitable healthcare access for all.
