NOVA and the San Diego Padres have collaborated for the launch of Sunset Slam Mango Lime Hard Kombucha, debuting at Petco Park for the start of the 2024 MLB season on March 28. Sunset Slam, with mango and lime flavors, will be available on draft and in cans at various locations in the ballpark, featuring Padres’ City Connect uniform colors. The partnership includes naming rights for “Saturday Pregame Live Music, presented by NOVA Kombucha,” with NOVA branding displayed on Petco Park LED screens and ribbon boards during Padres games. NOVA’s founder, Tiago Carneiro, expressed excitement about the partnership, highlighting the brand’s commitment to supporting San Diego sports and community events. Sunset Slam will be sold at Gallagher Square and Craft Beers of San Diego area in Petco Park, as well as at NOVA’s Ocean Beach taproom and sister NOVO sports pubs. Fans can enjoy Sunset Slam at Padres road game viewing parties held at NOVO sports pubs, with retail availability in San Diego County starting April 1. NOVA holds exclusive kombucha co-branding rights with the Padres throughout the five-year agreement, reinforcing its presence in the local market and sports community.
Beginning April 1, the kombucha will be available in single 16-oz cans and in six packs of 12-oz cans at retail outlets throughout San Diego County (store locator). NOVA, founded by Carneiro in 2018, is the Official Hard Kombucha of San Diego Wave Fútbol Club and the Official Hard Kombucha of Snapdragon Stadium. Earlier this year, NOVA collaborated with MESA Foundation, an official Name Image Likeness (NIL) partner of San Diego State University, for Azteks Raspberry Kombucha in support of SDSU men’s basketball players.
